Centre of Pure Mathematics
MIPT
The Centre of Pure Mathematics (CPM) started its work at MIPT in 2022. The main objectives of the Centre are to develop modern pure mathematics, to solve its most meaningful and well-known problems as well as to deal with its applications to physics. The Centre's members include both world-renowned mathematicians and promising young researchers. The Centre runs the Master's programme "Modern Pure Mathematics", regularly holds seminars, conferences and summer schools, creating a lively scientific environment. Conditions have been created for undergraduate and postgraduate students to master modern mathematics and swiftly get involved in high-quality scientific work.
More about the CentrePure mathematics is the result of a deep understanding of mathematical ideas and methods developed over centuries. It is, in a sense, a philosophical view of how one should think about mathematical problems and how one should understand mathematical theories, both high-level and well-known, even those studied during the first years at university. All together this constitutes a mathematical culture.
